The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visit Rio
The royal party first visited the Museum, where a special Chico Mendes exhibit was on show. They then moved to the Visitors Pavilion and chatted to many of the British community who were there to welcome them. The Chaplain’s daughter Rachel presented the Duchess with a bouquet of flowers. They then strolled through the gardens, where they planted an IpĂȘ tree - one of Brazil’s better known hardwoods.
